Keynote Speeches
Keynote Speaker 1
Trends and Challenges of Filters in Terminal Products
Speaker: XU Jia
Director of Wireless Technology Department, Huawei Device
Abstract: In the field of terminal devices, high-performance radio frequency (RF) filters serve as core components within RF systems and exert a pivotal impact on both receiving sensitivity and transmission efficiency. With the evolution from 2G to 5G technologies, the operating frequency range has been extended from 600 MHz to 7 GHz, which increases the complexity of RF filters significantly...
Keynote Speaker 2
Evolution of Mobile Devices and RF Filters: Contributions and Future Requirements
Speaker: Makoto Kawashima
Murata Manufacturing Co.
Abstract: This keynote provides an overview of the technological evolution of mobile phones, focusing on the development of RF filter technologies that have significantly contributed to device miniaturization and performance enhancement. It also explores future challenges and requirements for high-frequency components, with particular emphasis on filter technologies central to next-generation communication systems.
Keynote Speaker 3
Evolution and Trends of High-Q Filters for Satellites
Speaker: Dr. LI Shengxian
China Academy of Space Technology (Xi'an)
Abstract: This presentation will review the evolution of microwave passive filter devices for China's communication satellites with focus on the exploration and development of microwave passive devices in ultra-high Q, high frequency, integration, miniaturization and high power driven by the demands of advanced communication satellite payload technologies. Furthermore, in light of recent advances in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) internet satellites and high-throughput satellites in recent years, the presentation will also look forward to the future trend of microwave passive devices for satellites, including all dielectric filters, integration of filter antennas, and on-board application prospects of chip filters.
Keynote Speaker 4
Coupled Resonator Microwave Filters: A Heretic's Journey
Speaker: Professor Amari, Smain
Abstract: The talk covers my journey into the theory and design of coupled resonator filters highlighting some of the 'crazy' ideas my collaborators and I put forward. Concepts such as non-resonating nodes, frequency dependent coupling, and coupling through higher/lower modes, seem to have finally gained acceptance in the filter community...
